Gulf Coast Revival of Retro Americana

The Driftwood Motel was an ambitious 8-month project sponsored by Urban Properties, our partners on the Hotel Perle. They brought Humn Capital on to lead the project, responsibilities spanning everything from the initial concept through design, implementation, and launch. We were immediately drawn to this unique Gulf Coast town because it is not your typical coastal experience, whitewashed and drowning in turquoise and pink. Bay St Louis has a soul and we tried our best to channel that into the Driftwood Motel, the namesake coming from its first life serving travelers and the town in the '60s and '70s. Time had caught up to it, creating a mountain to climb - but we relished in the challenge and are proud of the end result.
